hay there!
yeah, just like what i said before, now i'm in USA for exchange student program.
well, the way to get here was soo loooooongg
First , the ONE YEAR test.
yeah, i did the test for one year. since i was in the tenth grade in SHS, till now i'm gonna get to the 12th grade. wewh. but it was a fun test. well, i had so many friends during the test. especially, in national selection. wow BATCH 2!!! i remembered that at that moment we had a nice experiences with the other friends from surabaya, jakarta (some), semarang, and of course malang :)
i also remembered, that chapter malang went to jakarta by bus. together. without any guide or kakak kakak chapter that accompanied us. wew! nice trip :)
Second , the national orientation
WAW! AMAZING ORIE EVER! the talent show, the meaning of togetherness, well we learn many thing from that orientation! many friends, many experiences, many thing to say.. The kakak kakak were very powerful and amazing!
even though, they usually got mad and angry, but actually they were so nice :)
nice orientation, ouh i wanna do the orientation again -.-
oh yeah and also i met a very very very great friends there! my room mates : Tikaaa, Fithaa, cindy, sarah, deniss.. owh i love u all guys. we're the SUPERCOOL girls, room number 210! yeah!
remember our sharing at the night? the shoot? off the record yaahh. save our secret :)
Third , the flight
well, the flight was sooo tiring!! i have to be in the plane for about 21 hours! oh my god.. -..-
the flight started from soekarno-hatta airport (jakarta), then we went to singapore for transit. and then we went to Frankfrut, Germany by Lufthansa airlines :) the flight from singapore to frankfrut was about 14 hours!! wew.
but we had a nice flight. because we were together, 101 students :)
after that, we stayed in frankfrut for about 7 hours, wait for the next flight.
then we used US Airlines to go to Dulles, washington DC. it spent 7 hours to get there!
well, the flight was so fun, even it was tiring -.-
Fourth , The DC Orientation
we've arrived in DC in august 8. well finally, we've arrived :)
after arrived in the airport, we've to go to Marryland by bus. the international orientation was be held in marryland. nice place :) the building was so wonderful !!
even i had a bad condition during my orientation, but basicly it was so fun being there!
oh yeah my bad condition were :
1. my luggage cant be opened -.-
2. i got sneezing, coughing, and fever at the same time. so i cant do some task and events
3. my luggage also broken. so i cant use the "kerek'an" to push my luggage. so i must bring the 19 KG luggage + my ransel (8 kg) by my self. without help -.-
4. the JET LAG!
oh my god,..
i did the orie for about 3 days. and in the last orie, there was a PARTY!! almost all the countries showed their performance. Philiphine, Saudi Arabia, Mozambik, Ghana, Turki, many more!
the party was soooo cool!! that was the last night that we could be together. because tomorrow, we'll go to our own state.. it means time to say good bye :')
Fifth , go to our own state
well, u know, i got LOS ANGLES!! wow. i had to fly to LAX!! LAX menn!!! the most famous airport in the world!! what a lucky :)
my city was in manhattan beach. it was a soo nice city. the beach was beautiful, completely! it was not too hot here, because we're near the beach. but if you are in the dessert or valley, it's gonna be really HOT!
i had a WONDERFUL temporary host family, named Lieber's. :)
There are 5 people live in Lieber's house.
1. Mr. Eli Lieber. I called him Uncle Eli :)
2. Mrs. Teressa Lieber. I called her Auntie Teressa :)
3. Alina Lieber. the second child. she's a college girl. 19 years old.
4. David Lieber. the third child. he's a high schooler. 16 years old. and we will go to the same school :)
5. Sam Lieber. the fourth child. he's still in the middle school. 14 years old.
Actually, they also have one daughter. names Nancy Lieber. but nancy didnt live with us, she has her own appartment. Oh yeah, there's also ONIX, our dog. he's cute >.<
well, they were a lovely nice family. i love them soooo much! even though they're just a temporary family, but there's still any possibility to change into permanent one :)
Well, i think that's enough for this time. i will write again next time. insyaallah :)
